Elementary Principal
I graduated from Rossville High School in 1987. I attended Kansas State University and graduated in December 1990.

My career has been spent at Silver Lake Elementary. I student taught in 2nd grade with Mrs. Judy Perkins. I knew right from the start that I had found a special place to teach. I was hired to teach 3rd grade and remained in that position for 12 years. I became the elementary principal in 2004.
My husband, Steve, is the Superintendent of Schools at Santa Fe Trail USD 434. I have 3 children; Brit, Kylee, and Cassie. Brit attends Washburn University and plays football for the Ichabods. Kylee attends the University of Kansas and is a member of the rowing team. Cassie is a sophomore at Silver Lake High. She participates in volleyball, track, and cheer. I also have 2 stepchildren; Whitney and Logan. Whitney is the Head Start Director for St. Joe and the surrounding area. Logan works in the office at Penske Trucking in Independence, Mo. Steve and I have a granddaughter, Briar.
When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am a huge football fan. My favorite NFL team is the Kansas City Chiefs. My favorite college football team is the Kansas State Wildcats. As a family, we enjoy going to watch the Royals play. We also enjoy hanging out at the beach.
