Moving forward there will be a stronger focus on individual responsibility for testing and, when a person tests positive, for notifying the school and/or their close contacts about potential exposure. The school will not conduct contact tracing this school year. We will have free testing available for students and staff who develop symptoms and request a test. All students will need informed consent from a parent or guardian. Please contact the school nurse if needing a test at school.
Positive Case: Students and staff will only be excluded from school and work if they have a confirmed COVID positive test or diagnosis from a doctor. Staff and students who test positive should isolate at home for five days after the onset of symptoms. A positive case can return to work or school on day 6, as long as their symptoms have improved & they have been fever free for at least 24 hours. It is recommended, but not required, for individuals to wear a mask on days 6-10 upon their return or have a negative test.
Exposure: If you are a known exposure to an individual who has tested positive for COVID, you should monitor for symptoms for 10 days and test immediately if symptoms develop. Household contacts may come to work/school as long as they have no symptoms.
