Silver Lake Snack Policy

We will have snack each day in kindergarten around 9:15.  Each student is responsible for bringing their OWN snack each day in a zipper bag or container, and a snack will not be provided for them.  However, we are only allowing a short list of acceptable snack options in order to keep the students with food allergies safe at school.  Contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions about what is an acceptable snack to send.  This list is a general schoolwide list, but depending on which allergies are present in the individual classrooms, the teachers can make changes as needed.

The acceptable snack list is as follows:

*Any fresh fruits or veggies (no dips)

*Graham crackers and Teddy Grahams(honey, cinnamon, or chocolate)

*Pretzels (original)

*Animal crackers (no frosting)

*Keebler club crackers or plain Ritz crackers

*Triscuits

*Wheat Thins

*Veggie Straws (plain)

*Skinny Pop Popcorn (original)

***This will not affect birthday treats brought into the classroom.
