I have been teaching English at Silver Lake Jr./Sr. High School since the Fall of 2006  I am currently teaching English 2, Creative Writing, Mythology, and dual credit Composition I and II.

Before teaching at Silver Lake, I began my teaching career at Waverly High School in the Fall of 2002.  I taught high school English in Waverly, KS for 4 years.

The one thing I love more than teaching is my family.  I married my husband Eric on December 9, 2006.  We have two children: Samson and Kinley. They both attend Silver Lake and participate in many extracurricular activities. Together we always have so much fun, and we all love the outdoors.  We enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, swimming, riding our bikes, and taking walks together.

When I'm not teaching, I love to spend time in the outdoors.  My family and I love to go camping and spending time at the lake.  Since I'm an English teacher, it probably is no surprise that I love to read in my free time as well!
